However, Finland is not the leading hockey nation in the world; their team just was able to win the worlds in May. The current NHL Stanley Cup champions are the Boston Bruins. There are many very good teams in Europe from Sweden, Russia, Finland, etc.
Without a doubt, and with all due respect to club teams in Europe, the best club teams are in the NHL. I'm not saying they would win every game, of course, but top NHL teams such as Boston, Washington, Vancouver, San Jose, Etc., would have little trouble with European club teams over a seven-game NHL style series.
