What temperature should you keep a hamster in?

Room temperature!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not near a radiator when its on or near a window!!!!!! always keep the door to the room open or a window as your hammy could overheat anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So about 17 or 21 degrees celsius

Keep the hamster in a warm room away from draftes and keep the room warm and snuggly. Avoid direct sunlight and do not place near doors, radiators or windows.

During the winter , also provide you hamster with a fist full of extra bedding for them to chooses to use and make the saw dust a few centimetres deeper.

I wouldn't say that there is an exact temperature but if you are unsure wether your hamster is warm enough, put a small handfull of extra bedding on a ledge or in a toy/ tube which the hamster can find, and carry to it's own bed to keep itself warmer.

Finally if hamsters get too cold they may go into migration, you will know this if they are sleeping but are not waking to the touch or/and their body feels cod but they are still breathing. Act quickly by picking them up and wrapping them in a blanket. Whilst they are in this, warm your hands on a radiator and hold them firmly but not too tight, and gently rub them to conduct heat, if neccecary wrap them up thickly and put them (still in balcket) on a luke -warm hotwater bottle. Keep attempting to heat up thie body until they come around, even then do not put them back in their cage until they have gained full consiousness and seem as active as usual, then provide your hamster with more bedding, more saw dust and heat the room more.

The ideal temperature to keep hamsters is around 60 deg normal room temp.

Hamsters originate in very hot climates where it is very hot during the day and can be cold at night, they are able to cope with temperature fluctuations of between 15-26c 60-78f fairly well without any adverse affect.
