In English, there is no distinction between masculine, feminine and neuter. Gender is shown by different forms or different words; for example:

The noun actress is a word for a female; the noun actoris a word for a male or a female.

It should be noted, that many women in the acting profession call themselves an actor. Many gender designated nouns are becoming a thing of the past like actor. Others that have fallen into disuse are aviatrix, authoress, mailman, spinster, male nurse, etc. However, I think grandma and grandpa are safe for the moment.
