I think most missions went early in the lunar morning before it had a chance to warm up. I am not sure but possibly one mission went at the lunar dusk when things were cooling down. A lunar day is about two Earth weeks long, so "morning" and "dusk" are a good long time!
Richard Nixon was the president of the U.s.A. when man walked on the moon.
During Apollo 11 man walked on the moon for the first time.
The first time man walked on the surface of the moon was on July 20, 1969. The first time man orbited the moon was the Apollo 8 mission, which occured December 21 - 27, 1968.
Neil Armstrong was the first human to take a step on the moon's surface, and did so at 2:56 UTC on July 21st, 1969. There currently is no time standard (in terms of divisions of a day or time zones) for the Moon. A day on the moon (the time it takes the sun to rise, set, and back to the same point again which would be 24 hours on earth) is over 700 hours.
