What can you do about a really nasty neighbor?

ignore him, i think not! It's prank time! this simple prank will stop the neighbor from being rude. it requires one roll of plastic wrap (the clear kind), tape, and a rude neighbor. whenever the neighbor is mean/rude too you, sneak over to their house at night and put plastic wrap on the door. it should cover the whole door. make sure you can't see where the plastic wrap is. if this is done correctly, when the neighbor walks through the doorway, they run right into the plastic wrap. keep doing this until the neighbor catches on, then do the front door and back door. after a while, they will stop being mean.

no way trust me ignore them! it hurts them worse when you don't do anything then when you react (or overeact in YOUR case apparently). That other option sounds like way too much work. Simply ignore him/her. Even pray for them (nicely) that works too. Stay faithful and be christian-like about it.

In my opinion I think you should be able to talk to the parents about it but the problem with that are that there are parents that are in denial of their children being bad and or don't care about the children enough to care what they do. It is a sad but real fact.

Dependent upon what your neighbour is doing, there are a number of ways to combat this. Verbal abuse is very hard to bring to attention, but I suggest that you take the time to get to know your neighbour, or see if this dislike towards you is either caused by you, or can be resolved in any way. Other acts such as noise pollution can be brought to the attention of the Police, or Cops if you live in America, and can be dealt with, often assertaining quite harsh consequences. Tresspassing is also not considered appropriate, and can result in Prison sentences. If they are violent towards you, either physically (or they insult you on account of race), again it is likely that the Police or Cops should become involved.
