Among them are Table of Logarithms of the Natural Numbers from 1 to 108, 000 (1827), Reflections on the Decline of Science in England (1830), and On the Economy of Machinery and Manufactures (1832).

Charles Babbage was the eldest of four children born to Benjamin and Betty Plumleigh Babbage. His mother gave birth to a son, Henry, in October 1874, but the child died in infancy. In May 1876, she gave birth to another son, whom they also named Henry, who died as a small child. Finally, in March 1878, Betty bore a fourth child, a girl, named Mary Anne. Charles and Mary Anne had a warm, lifelong relationship. He preceded her in death.
He married in 1814, on 27th July when he was only 23 years old- his wife was Georgiana Whitmore, and they lived at Dudmaston Hall in Shropshire before moving to the Portland Place region of London. They produced eight children, but only four of these survived. Georgiana died on the first day of September 1827- two of her sons, as well as Charles's father, died the same year. Babbage never married again, and died on 18th October 1871 at the age of 79.
