The truth is that you do not need skill to play soccer because its a very simple game to learn. It's actually like basketball, it has defenders and everything. But it is true that you do not need skill to play soccer.

Mental training , strong desire, focus/concentration, have the needed skills but constantly training to make yourself better, watch professionals play and learning from the observations, be open to recommendations for improvement , never take it personally. Physical ability need to run an hour and 1/2 min. full out , endurance running, speed and agility/sprints , training, strength training. Playing the game , play for fun and play for competition. When playing for fun try new things don't be afraid to fail keep trying till you get it, play competitively most play on travel teams and try out for olympic teams, try to move into teams that are the most competitive without being professional. Play with a soccer ball daily improve your skills. They are many things that you need to have the training for a professional team player but find a coach and fitness training that you believe in and believes in you.
