You MUST put the 4L60E back in it if it is a 1/2 ton. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them. Reason being is because of the transmission wiring harness and PCM / Powertrain controll module. Alot of other types will fit but the engine will NOT run right and you will have all kinds of PROBLEMS.
