The 3/4 tons MUST have the 4L80E put in them.

1/2 tons MUST have the 4L60E put back in them. The Reason is because of the computer system that's in the truck will not operate Any other type of transmission. These are the years that will interchange as long as they are 4-wheel drive transmission. 1992 to 1995 then it jumps to 1998 to 1999. 96 and 97 will not work. bellhousing is different.
