spongins and spicules give the sponge support:)
Support is basically provided by the calciferous and siliceous spicules it is covered with throughout. The spicules form the skeletal framework of the sponge. Also. the sponge is attached to the stratum via base, which adheres it to a fixed spot.

The two primary substances associated with healthy bones are both Calcium and Vitamin D.
The two principal substances that make up bone are collagen and hydroxyapatite. Collagen provides flexibility and tensile strength, allowing bones to withstand stress and resist fractures. Hydroxyapatite, a mineral composed mainly of calcium and phosphate, gives bones their hardness and rigidity, enabling them to support body weight and protect internal organs. Together, these substances create a strong yet lightweight structure essential for bone function.
It gives support to the cell. It help to maintain shape and anchor organells
Their are two families the sponge comes from; Plakinidae and Oscarellidae. The phylum is Porifera.
It provides shape & gives mechanical support. Also serves as a monorail to transport substances around the cell.
The cell wall provides structural support and protection for the cell. It also helps regulate the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
