Individual Rights.

why? everything that Thomas Jefferson did was to wrap around and relate back to this. He was honest and fair, and he was doing what he did to benefit the common "stupid" man. He wasn't trying to keep the big shots and wealthy people where they were, he was trying to help everyone, because it was within everyone's individual rights to have the freedom of opportunity.
