denatured alchohol is best. You can find it at your local hardware store.

Denatured alcohol is the right stuff but make sure it has a ethanol content of 80% or higher. At least that is what I would call it. I got some that was 50% and it wouldn't work at all. So if you are going to get some I would recommend 80% or higher and maybe 90% if you want to be sure.
