denatured alchohol is best. You can find it at your local hardware store.
Denatured alcohol is the right stuff but make sure it has a ethanol content of 80% or higher. At least that is what I would call it. I got some that was 50% and it wouldn't work at all. So if you are going to get some I would recommend 80% or higher and maybe 90% if you want to be sure.
Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) is commonly used as a fuel for alcohol burners in chemistry labs. It burns cleanly and efficiently, making it a popular choice for heating applications in laboratory settings.
Alcohol burner, also referred to as backpacker is used to replace a Bunsen burner due to its light weight, simple style and it is handy.
A spirit burner, also known as a spirit lamp or alcohol burner, is used in science experiments to supply a controlled flame for heating or sterilizing purposes. It typically burns denatured alcohol or ethyl alcohol as a fuel source, making it useful for applications where an open flame is required.
A spirit burner is a type of portable heating device that uses a liquid fuel, such as alcohol, to produce a flame for cooking or heating purposes. It is commonly used in laboratories for tasks like heating solutions or samples in test tubes.
The purpose of the burner is to provide a controlled flame or heat source for cooking, heating, or other processes. It converts fuel, such as gas or electricity, into heat energy for various applications.
To increase the temperature of a burner flame, you can either increase the flow rate of the fuel being supplied to the burner or adjust the air-to-fuel ratio to ensure complete combustion. You can also adjust the position of the air vents or dampers to allow more oxygen to mix with the fuel, resulting in a hotter flame.

The gas is the fuel of the Bunsen burner.
The gas is the fuel of the Bunsen burner.
An alcohol lamp is a simple heating device that uses alcohol as fuel and a wick to produce an open flame. It is commonly used in laboratories for sterilization, heating, and small-scale experiments. The alcohol is ignited, producing a consistent and controllable flame that can reach high temperatures for various applications.
An air blast burner is a burner where a controlled blast of air is supplied the gas. The burner has an air blast type fuel injector.
The purpose is the introduce the fuel gas in the burner.
There are different kinds of burners for various applications. Some common types include gas burners for cooking stoves, oil burners for heating systems, and industrial burners used in processes like refining and manufacturing. Each type of burner is designed to achieve efficient combustion of its specific fuel source.
The hose go to inlet of gas fuel in the burner.
A spirit burner is used to burn alcohols and other fuels in a safe way, the flame burns the fuel on the wick
By using the correct ratio of oxygen and fuel mixture. Opening the air hole in the Bunsen burner increase the oxygen which helps the flame burner hotter .
