Both breeds of Budgies can talk, but the boys are less aggressive than the girls so you would be better off teaching a boy. You can start at any age but between 3 weeks-1 year is the best age to teach. Try to say only the same word repeatedly with the Budgie having no distraction, you can also teach your Budgie to talk in the dark.
Both genders make wonderful pets, just pick according to the individual bird you like.
Both of the genders make great pets, but it all depends on what you like. If you want a more calming budgie who talks but is more relaxing, get a female. If you plan to teach your budgie to talk a lot and train it, get a male. Males are usually more active and playful than the females, but that is not always true. Also, if you are buying a baby, it is hard to tell whether it is a boy or girl, so you could just go for a surprise like I did.
yes they are. budgies are the smalllest type of parrot.
Budgies
to look out for danger, or/and to see their surroundings, or/and to talk to other budgies in their kinda way. i think.
they like to talk + they'll learn to communicate
Male budgies tend to speak better then females. Although don't count the females out, some can learn to talk and females are also very good whistlers!
the characteristics of a budgie are: -they do not show when they are sick -they are very playful - they are very sensitive, so do not yell at them, or slap them -they can some times learn to talk, if they live alone (with no budgies) -they are very messy eaters I hope this helped i have two budgies of my own as well! (:
This question is a matter of opinion. Some people like English budgies better than regular budgies or other people like regular budgies better than English budgies.
I've heard the best time to start training budgies to talk is 4 months. although they can talk it does not mean they will talk (they will if they feel like it). good luck!
Yes, budgies are parakeets.
Budgies are parakeets. They eat seed
Wild budgies are a single species called Melopsittacus undulatus, and native to Australia. In captivity, there are two main types. One type, called the English or Show budgerigar, is large and husky looking. There is also a smaller, more slender type that is sometimes called the American type. They are both the same species, but each type is more common in different areas. Budgies aren't native to New Zealand, so the only kind there would be either English or American-type, not wild ones.
Yes, they're called gay budgies, ey.
