Ford calls for 5w30 oil in the Mark VIII. I have had four of these Mark VIII's, a 1994, a 1996, a 1998 and currently a 1997. I have used 5w 30 in all of them, not synthetic, changed it every 3,000 miles (every month for me) and have never had any kind of oil related problem with any of these cars. The 1996 had almost 400,000 miles on it before it was stolen and demolished!
SAE 5w30 any major brand.
They have the 4R70W transmission.

A Lincoln Mark VIII fuel injector typically has an impedance of around 12 to 16 ohms. It's important to check the specific specifications for the model year and type of injector, as variations may exist. If you're measuring resistance, ensure the injector is disconnected from the power source for an accurate reading.
