Tulips are bulbs planted in the Fall for blooming in early Spring. So yes tulips are a Spring plant, but the bulbs need to be planted outside in the Fall to allow time for the bulb to produce.

Yes they do, because Tulips are Seed Bearing plants.They also are in the same family of Vascular plants.They are also Angiosperms as well.They grow with seeds on their petals, because the plant is a Monocotyledons.So the answer is YES.

Originally all tulips started as a seed but to reproduce the parent exactly one must propogate from bulbs. Only species will grow true from seed.
