cumulus-brings usually sunny weather
cumulonimbus- are the dark grey ones that result in thunderstorms
cirrus- are the clouds that look like feathers
stratus- are the one that usually result in a steady drizzle and cover the sky like a blanket
Cumulus means "heap" or "pile" in Latin. They are often described as "puffy" or "cotton-like" in appearance. Cumulus clouds may appear alone, in lines, or in clusters.
The most intense cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds may be associated with severe weather such as tornadoes, hail and waterspouts.
If the top of the cumulus cloud reaches above the altitude where the temperature is at or below the freezing level, then precipitation from the cloud is possible. The temperature of the air at ground level will determine if this falls as rain or snow.
There are twelve different types of cumulus cloud. Although usually associated with good weather, they can bring all kinds of conditions from fine, fair weather through to storms and even tornados.
You can find much more information and many pictures of different cloud formations in the Sources and related links section, below.
First things first, you need to have a humid air mass in MID LEVELS of the atmosphere with Sunny Skies to start seeing Cumulus cloud types. The best UPPER LEVEL support for this type of cloud to form in is sunny skies and DECENT humidity values in the Midlevels of the atmosphere. That also includes SOME thermal or warm temperature based layer as well! Hope this helps!
The type of weather associated with cumulus clouds is nice. These clouds are often called fair weather clouds, because they usually indicate pleasant weather.
Cumulus clouds bring good weather and mabye a light shower.
Cumulus clouds bring fair weather as they are forming. As the cumulus clouds grow upwards, they turn in to thunderstorm clouds, producing light to moderate rain.
sunny blue sky days, there are the big white fluffy clouds
Cumulus clouds generally indicate fair weather.
Type your answer here..rain
Cumulus clouds are identified by their fluffy nature. The clouds are often indicators of fair weather, but may build to a more dangerous situation depending upon humidity and temperature.

There are actually four. Cumulus- moderate altitude, white, puffy clouds. Cirrus- high altitude; looks like hair in the sky and usually means fair weather. Stratus-Low altitude and an overcast sky or fog is an example. Cumulonimbus- These are puffy dark clouds that tower and are very tall. They usually bring thunderstorms. There are also over 100 other types of clouds.
Best answer to scientific knowledge are; Cumulonimbus Clouds (which in this case are the TALL VERTICAL whitish large cumulus clouds. Also known as Thunderstorm clouds) Stratus clouds (Low level Sheet clouds, typically bring Long Duration light rains) In General, Nimbus clouds (Which applies very similarly to Stratus clouds but a BIT more convective. Meaning, they deliver heavy Long duration Rains)
Cumulus clouds usually indicate fair weather. However, towering cumulus clouds may be a precursor to thunderstorms.
cumulus clouds can bring good or bad weather. if there is alot of convection, the cloud will grow taller and develope into cumulus congestus then to cumulonimbus. this brings thunderstorms. however, sometimes the air is very stable so cumulus clouds flatten to cumulus humilis and stay the "fair weather cumulus" clouds everyone loves

You usually see shapes in cumulus clouds.

Cumulus clouds are usually associated with fair weather. The type of cloud that is most closely associated with fair weather is a cirrus cloud. These white clouds are wispy and light, often blown by strong winds.stratusCumulus CloudsCumulus Clouds-have flat bottoms and often indicate fair weatherThe cloud type that indicated fair weather is most commonly cirrus clouds. These are wispy, light clouds that are thinly spread across the sky.cumuluscumulusThink its cumulus but im not sure.Good luck :)Cirrus clouds and Cumulus clouds.Cumulus
Cumulus clouds typically indicate fair weather. They are fluffy and white with a flat base and appear during stable atmospheric conditions. However, they can develop into cumulonimbus clouds, which bring thunderstorms and potentially severe weather.
