I read the books, and it goes something like this, if this is what you meant..
The whole setting of the story is in the ruins of North America in the future. There is a capital, Panem, that is cruel and powerful. Panem is surrounded by 12 Districts. To keep order and show it has power, Panem yearly demands that each District sends 2 children at or under the age of 16 to compete at The Hunger Games. At the Hunger Games, they are ranked, people place bets on who wins, and the kids are sent out to an arena to fight to the death. They are given weapons to begin with, and they must live on their own, fighting to stay alive, killing other competitors. The capital likes to throw in surprises to keep those who watch the children die entertained, so pretty much anything could happen. Usually, the arena is a form of wilderness, like a forest.
The books could tell you more, or the movie, which comes out in 2012. Hope I helped!
Each tribute is provided with the clothes that the Capitol provides them with and any weapons, supplies, and food that is in the Cornucopia, or that they find in the arena. They also get to keep their district token, a trinket that their home district gave them before they left (which is checked if it is a secret weapon before entering the arena). It's also allowed to form alliances with other tributes. Besides that, it's basically kill or be killed.
The Hunger Games is a book, and it is set in the future after North America is destroyed after World War III, and North America is divided into 12 districts. Each year the Capitol forces one boy and one girl (ages 12-18) to participate in "The Hunger Games", a fight to death on live tv, where 24 children go into the arena and only one comes out. When Katniss's sister, Primrose, is choosen to participate, Katniss volunteers to take her place, therefore Katniss must compete in the games.
The Hunger Games is just a book, it is not something that really happens in America. It is possible though, that in the far away future something like the Hunger Games could take place.
next person:
but if you want to, me and my friends always play the hunger games at the park. everybody brings their own food and drinks like water bottles and chips. at my town park, we have a merry go round so we put everything in the middle and spin the merry go round really fast. then we could backwards from ten then jump.the way you "die" is if one of the other players tags you on you neck, head, stomach, or heart. dont worry! its not like we accualy kill each other! if you get tagged anywhere else, you cant use that part of you body. if you stay in the "cornicopia" and try and get supplies, your most likely gonna die. sorry to say but its true. you can team up with anybody as long as you know you can trust them. like a kid made the mistake of trusting me and my frind and when she wasnt look ing, we tagged her in the back of the neck. oh and by the, when your tagged, you cant leave the spot your at or talk or give clues to any of the other players where "tributes" might be. enjoy!
There are only a couple rules that are unmentioned in The Hunger Games. The first rule that each tribute seems to observe is that once you form an alliance with someone from your own disrict you cannot kill them. Katniss says that if it were to occur the other would be considered a "parriah" back in the districts. Another unspoken rule is "no cannibalism". Katniss describes a tribute in the past who was a cannibal. The Gamemakers say this as something yhat would risk the success of The Games in The Capitol. The tribute was killed to prevent it from happening more.
There are 3 rules: Stay ALIVE, No eating other tributes and 2 tributes can win if they are in the same district.
I know one is you can't do cannibalism during the games. I hope that helped but that is all I know and that there can only be one victor (not counting the 74th hunger games where two win)
All the ex-tributes or winners of previous seasons had to participate in the quarter quell again
There are no official rules in the Hunger Games. A well known unwritten one is a rule against cannibalism, as it doesn't go down well with Capitol audiences.
