The subclavian artery is the vessel that travels under the clavicle and supplies blood to the arm.
The right subclavian artery carries blood to the right arm. It also carries blood to the head and the thorax.
The superior vena cava.
It means the position you were in squeezed some blood vessel, and therefore prevented blood from flowing. By changing position, the blood is allowed to recirculate in the vessel and therefore creates that weird sensation.
The brachial artery supplies blood to the lower arm. It runs down the arm and branches into smaller arteries to provide blood flow to the tissues of the forearm and hand.
major artery that carries blood to the lower arm along the side by the thumb.
The blood carries oxygen and nutriens throughout your body. In your case you had to hold your arm in wierd position and the blood couldn't flow into your arm what made your arm turn red/purple and go numb.
a main vein is the superior vena cava a main artery is the brachial artery in the arm where blood pressure can be detected easily

If blood is coming through an arm cast, it could indicate a serious problem such as a deep cut or a broken blood vessel. It is important to seek immediate medical attention to determine the cause and receive appropriate treatment to prevent further complications or infection.
