There are a large number of people who will tell you all of them. Some wars are easy to recognise as religiously based. With others religion is only one of the factors. As long as man has been "evolved" enough that his only concern wasn't just survival, he has indulged his acquisitive and aggressive tendencies in the pursuit of war. In his continued refusal to take responsibility for his own actions and desires, man has found a convenient excuse by saying "God told me to do it."

∙ 13y agoThe list of wars in which religion was a factor are to numerous to count. In every war, both sides try to claim the moral high ground. Each side tends to claim that they are better, more righteous and favored by God over the other side.
