Anne was very popular with boys in school. She had more friends that were boys than friends that were girls. She also loved her hair very much and was probably sad to shave it off at the last concentration camp she ever went to -- Auschwitz.

Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany, to a Jewish family. In 1933, her family moved to Amsterdam to escape Nazi persecution. Anne started writing in her diary at the age of 13, capturing her experiences living in hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands.
