The old Cartoon Network logo actually spelled the whole words "Cartoon Network" in alternating black and white boxes and letters. The first logo premiered since Cartoon Network's launch back in October, 1992 and lasted until 2004. From 2004 to present we only seen the C and the N with alternating black and white boxes and letters.

Dozens of shows aired when Cartoon Network debuted in 1992, Looney Tunes, The Yogi Bear Show, Wacky Racers, The Herculoids, Hong Kong Phooey, Johnny Quest however all of those were & are older than the network so if by chance you mean the oldest original show from Cartoon Network, that would be Cartoon Cartoon in 1998 that featured shorts created through a contest held by Cartoon Network to pick the newest show for their network.
