A lot. Paul invented Christianity. for more info, click on related questions below; http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_did_Christianity_begin http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_did_Christianity_originate http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_origin_of_Christianity http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_was_the_founder_of_Christianity http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_did_Christianity_start === === === === Paul did not "invent" Christianity. It started before Paul ever met the Lord in a vision. If it had not, how would God have sent Ananias to him, to show him the true way? Ananias was already a disciple of Christ. "And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord" Acts 9:10. Peter preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2, and The Bible says "Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." Acts 2:47. Notice it says He added to the CHURCH. Then it must have already existed!

We can not really be sure what changes Paul made in the Christian religion. Certainly, his epistles make it plain that on Paul's initiative, Gentiles were permitted to become Christians without first becoming Jews and submitting to circumcision, although Acts of the Apostles does dispute this, crediting Peter with the reform.

Paul says that he went to Jerusalem to communicate to the brethren that gospel that he taught among the Gentiles, because he did not know whether the gospel he taught accorded with that of the Jerusalem church: 'And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privily to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run , or had run, in vain.'(Galations 2:2.) What Paul leaves unanswered is why the Jerusalem brethren needed to be informed what gospel he preached among the Gentiles, and how it differed from that of the Jerusalem church. Is Christian teaching today more similar to what Paul taught or more like what the Jerusalem church taught?
