He was terrified!
Scrooge was shown the scene of people stealing from a dead man's belongings by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. He was deeply disturbed by this display of greed and lack of compassion, leading him to reflect on his own behavior and the consequences of his actions. This experience helped to transform Scrooge's perspective and instill a sense of empathy and generosity within him.
Shock at first, as he realises that the people were stealing from someone who had a life style like his. It is here that he sees that unless he changes his ways this scene will be his death and those people would be stealing his items.
Shock and confusion. he suspects the body is his yet is too fearfull to confirm it
He imagined himself in this same situation as the dead man so it scared scrooge.
Fear. Scrooge saw that the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come was different to the others and had an air of menace about it
Here Scrooge realises that his life is ending and everlasting torment beckons. He is terrified of the thought that he will be cast down for eternity
He learns about the potential death he will face should he not change. Marley's warning of a death followed by everlasting torment becomesca very real possibility.
