Leafpool was a medicine cat. Medicine cats are forbidden to have kits, so Leafpool gave them to Squirrelflight instead. Leafpool used parsley, a kind of herb, to stop her milk flow. Hope this helps!

They are Leafpool and Crowfeathers kits but Hollyleaf is not one of the three. hollyleaf is not one of the three because she died.

They had to wait until the kits were strong enough to travel back toward the clan and because no other cat then Squirrelflight was with Leafpool when she kitted, it was easy for Leafpool to say that the kits were Squirrelflight's. There were some questions of course about it, but the clan believed them.
