Dith Pran's work in Cambodia was significant for several reasons. As a reporter and photographer for the New York Times, Pran survived the brutal terror campaign of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. Along with his mentor and best friend Sydney Schanberg, Pran helped to expose the atrocities of this regime in the movie "The Killing Fields". He also garnered worldwide recognition and aid for assisting thousands of children that were left without parents. Today, the plight of these refugees and their offspring continue to plague camps on the border of Cambodia and Thailand.

Who were the Communist forces that took control of Cambodia in 1975?

No foreign nation took over Cambodia. The communist backed Cambodian Rebel's called the Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia. Vietnam briefly occupied Cambodia in the late 1970's to set up a new government that could control it's own borders better. Cambodian rebels kept causing problems on the Cambodian/Vietnamese border, so the Viet's had had enough of it, and invaded Cambodia to clean up the place.

Under the President's Military powers how many days can he put troops into combat before Congress steps in and makes him remove the troops from combat?

Nixon ordered US troops into Cambodia on 01 May 1970; the men were told that it would be a 60 day operation, and that they had to be out of Cambodia when those 60 days were up. The following year in '71, US forces couldn't go into Laos; they had to work the border only. The ARVN went in though (and paid for it heavily).

Describe a situation in which your leadership or teamwork had a significant impact?

This is a typical question asked in a job interview. What the interviewer is trying to discover is the applicant's ability to work in a team and their ability to lead others, not necessarily in a dominant way but by using diplomacy also. The leadership qualities may also lead to future management opportunities. The examples you give may not even have to be in a work environment. Volunteer work may also have given you significant experience in these areas and should not be ignored in the effort to "sell" yourself.
