The first microscopes were called Light Microscopes, and they work by passing visible light through whatever specimen is being observed and then through the glass lenses of the microscope. The lenses refract the light and magnify the image of the specimen as it is projected into the eye. Modern microscopes use beams of electrons instead of light. There are two main type of Electron Microscopes: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). SEMs are used to observe the surface of a specimen, and TEMs are used to observe the internal structure of specimens.

The first is, of course, antiques are old and fragile. Second antique lenses don't have as much visibility power as the modern day telescope. The more modern telescopes can tell you how large the star is and how far away it is, plus what kind it is.

Galileo's telescope was the first _refractor_: it used a convex lens to gather its light. Newton's telescope was the first _reflector_: it used a concave mirror to gather its light.

How did Issac Newtons first reflecting telescope change the world?

He was the first person who invented Reflecting telescope , so now a days other scientists use those telescope to find out other planets and they are trying to look for a planet which is suitable for human being to live in because the earth is overcrowded now. If they can find out another planet which is suitable for humans to live in they will send half of the pupil from the earth to that planet so that we can stop over population.
