Jon and Kate Gosselin got some home renovation as part of a "Home Delivery." However, the bulk of the renovations were conducted by the Calvary Bible Fellowship Church. It was clarified in a June 6, 2009 letter to the editor of the Reading Eagle. (See related links) ====== ====== We had all that we needed and were almost done with the project before NBC showed up.
The ladies of the church fed us breakfast, lunch and dinner every weekend.
We even held Sunday services on the front lawn.
When the babies came home, it was predominantly church members who cooked, cleaned, washed and fed babies at all hours of the day and night. It is the church, not NBC, where credit is due.

How much help the Gosselins have had while raising their children is a hot topic on message boards and blogs about 'Jon & Kate Plus 8." While Kate Gosselin contends that they have never had a nanny, other say that the Gosselins have had substantial round-the-clock help since the birth of the sextuplets. Initially, a cadre of organized volunteers and a state funded nurse helped the Gosselins care for their children. After the first year, the state stopped funding for the nurse, but some volunteers continued to assist the Gosselins. Then, Dr. Phil provided a the Gosselins with a girl from Nannies 4 Hire. Still, the Gosselins continue to assert that they have never had a nanny. As their fame grew, the Gosselins continue to use paid "people" to help them manage their brood of 8. While they may not be nannies, they do things that most people would typically associate with a nanny caring for children. The exact number is not known, however the Gosselin's former nurse said that Kate Gosselin had fired more than 2 dozen nurses prior to her arrival in the Gosselin home.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 started in Wernersville, Pennsylvania where the Gosselins live right after the sextuplets were born. This home was part of the first hour long specials that lead to 'Jon and Kate Plus 8" and and eventually 'Kate Plus 8'.
Now that the divorce is finalized, and the Gosselins are not in the spotlight as much, it appears they are getting busy working to support their children and their home in Pennsylvania.
No. It turned into a terrible mess and TLC made it worse. When the world is desperately trying to survive, with losing their homes, jobs, and TLC will not quit showing a million dollar home for the Gosselins and Kate could lie about everything and no one would make her tell the truth. I lost all respect for the network and the Gosselins. There were thousands of watchers writing and asking to have the show stopped, no one would listen and we continued to have our favorite shows on TLC interrupted with announcements of Kate and Jon.
Kate took the sextuplets to the Hands on House in Lancaster Pennsylvania to paint. See Season 4, episode 35 Home Sweet Home which originally aired February 16, 2009.
