Elvis recorded That's All Right on July 5, 1954. The flip side, Blue Moon of Kentucky was recorded July 7, 1954. Both recorded at Sun Records Studio in Memphis, TN. The record was released on both 45 RPM and 78 RPM on July 19, 1954 as SUN 209.

The first recording that made any chart impact was by Rosemary Clooney in 1954. Sammy Davis JR. recorded it the same yer, but I believe Clooney's recoding was released first.
On July 18, 1953, Presley went to the Memphis Recording Service at Sun Record Company, now known as Sun Studio. He paid $3.98 to record the first of two double-sided demo acetates, "My Happiness" (old tune) and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin." Presley gave the record to his mother as a birthday present. I found this info on Wikepedia, but it was confirmed when I recently took a guided tour at Graceland and found out first hand.
