i think that the signifecent relies on how later on they were changed how they working class also were manipulated by the master we can see that of the dispearing of the milk after writting the 7 commandments. this all goes back to the satirical style of george orwell, in which he show they way in which these masters were saying something while doing something else in the name of the common benefit 4 all animals. While, they are the only benefited ones.

The purpose of the animal farm commandments were to remind the animals about the horrible lifestyle when Mr. Jones was the owner of the animals. It was like a common flash back to the cruelty as well and to make sure they never become like Mr. Jones. Obviously, towards the end, the pigs basically are Mr. Jones, and the animals could not decipher the difference between human and pigs.

The Seven Commandments in George Orwell's "Animal Farm" reflect his ideas about totalitarianism by showing how those in power manipulate rules to maintain control and justify their actions. The alterations made to the commandments demonstrate how revolutions can lead to corruption and a betrayal of the original ideals, as the pigs become indistinguishable from the humans they once opposed. This highlights Orwell's belief in the tendency of power to corrupt and the failure of revolutions to bring about lasting change.
The 7 commandments are a symbol of communism in Russian revolution.
The other animals in the farm started to get a little suspicious every time it seemed like the pigs broke the Seven Commandments (i.e When Clover thinks that it was one of the Seven Commandments that no animal shall kill another animal.) So then the pigs had to make up some story that would sound persuasive and make the other animals believe that the rules had not been changed, it was just that the animals weren't smart enough to remember.
