The red car in the new Knight Rider show was a Predator Extreme. The designer took visual cues from several different cars. The Lamborghini Reventon, Ferrari Enzo, Mercedes SLR McLaren, McLaren F1, and the Infiniti G35 all influenced the car's looks. Production stats are hard to come by, if you want you to find out what they are, you will have to do some looking.
In the 1980s version of Knight Rider, the car's name is KITT - Knight Industries 2000 In the 2008 remake of Knight Rider, the car's name is KITT - Knight Industries 3000
The Predator Extreme is from Santarsiero Concepts, and is in full production. You can purchase a kit or complete turnkey from them at http://www.topgunextreme.com
The name K.I.T.T. in the original Knight Rider TV show stands for Knight Industries Two-Thousand. No but there is a petition for it at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-knight-rider.html
I'm not quite sure what you mean with that question. Michael Knight is the new identity given to police Detective Lieutenant Michael Arthur Long after a near fatal shot to the face. He is provided with a high tech car named KITT to help him fight crime. This was a 1982 television show called Knight Rider.
