What is one way that air is lifted causing expansion and cooling?

Convection

How is a convection current made?

Heat up air or water and a convection curent wil form as the heated air or water starts to move upwards. An array of several convection tubes are positioned in a series configuration to provide the equivalent of a very tall convection current generating tower, the pressure and fluid flow of the array thereby becoming capable of significant pressures such as the pressures necessary to move solar heated air into the confines of a rock storage area, the pressure increases of this array being achieved by the additive effects of connecting heated and cooled convecting columns together alternately in such a way that the output of one is connected to the input of another.

What does convection have to do with global warming?

Convection Current is when the warm air rises and cold air sinks as warm air is more dense. This can be seen with radiators at the floor and air conditioners on the ceiling. This can be related to the outside world when cat fumes (the warm air) rises and then damages the ozone layer it then cools and sinks back down to earth. This can also then be seen when cold air sinks to the ice caps then warms up as it gets closer to the earths crust and warms up once more and consequently melting the ice caps.

What is direction of the convection during ventilation?

Convection is the movement of air (or another fluid) in respond to differetial densities, differential pressures, and similar "setups" that might drive mass movement. Convection can be forced or natural, and this makes answering this question much more difficult. That said, consider the instance of natural convection during ventilation. In a ventilation lineup powered by natural convection, we'd see hoter, less dense air rising, and cooler, more dense air slipping in underneath it. That's the general way a convection cycle begins. The location of a heat source will help determine what's happening. If an oven is on and hot, it will heat air in its vicinity. This hot air will rise and be displaced by cooler air. The heated air will cool in the area higher up and sink, and the cooler air that moved in near the oven will be heated and rise. A "circle" or cycle of convection will have been set up. There are countless other convection scenarios that can be scripted for a given ventilation situation. But with natural convection, there will be rising air (which is less dense) near the heat source, and cooler (more dense) air will slide in to replace it. The cooler air will have to come from somewhere, and as the hot air will eventually cool, it will sink to "complete the circle" of convection. With something like a simple diagram and a bit of thought based on what has been set down here, an investigator could summarize a convection cycle for ventilation using natural convection.

How does a global convection cell work?

With all the heat under the crust into the mantle, the hot magma starts to move like any convection current so it goes up and then back around again to be reheated. at the top the convection current is so strong it pulls the plates apart and magma seeps up through and becomes lava.

How do aircraft propellers keep the aircraft airborne?

For an aircraft to stay aloft, the an air current has to move over the wings in a specific way. The propellers generate the air current and direct it in the proper way to keep the aircraft airborne.

What causes a convection current?

Actually, there are many ways for a convection current to form. So, if you asked this question, here is one way:A convection current forms when Hot air and Cold air form a cycle and mix. . .That's one way!ToodlesByee

Why the air particles travel around the room you the way shown by convection?

hot air rises, cold air falls.

What are the two types of air cooled condenser?

Air cooled condensers are of two types: natural convection and forced convection. In the natural convection type, the air flows over it in natural a way depending upon the temperature of the condenser coil. In the forced air type, a fan operated by a motor blows air over the condenser coil.

What are three forms of energy transfer?

Conduction, convection and radiation. Conduction is when heat is transferred directly between materials. convection occurs when heated materials move from one place to another heating matter along the way. Radiation is when waves of heat move through space.

Which way round does convectional current flow?

A convection current flows in a circular pattern, with warmer material rising and cooler material sinking (due to density differences). It should not be used with conveNtional current in electricty.
