Actually, Ancient Egypt had considerable contact with surrounding civilizations. They traded with the Mycenae, Greek, Hittite, Syrian, Babylonian, Sumerian, and Thor Heyerdahl discovered they took reed boats to the civilizations of India. He also showed they had the ability to visit The Americas in their reed boats.

Take Bark and rap reed around it. Do this with more peices of Bark. Then tie all of the Bark with Reed together with more reed. Thats how to make the reed boat. I'm not sure about the Papyrus boats though.....
they traveled in thick reed boats, camels or wagons but only so far...
I do not have any reed for sale. Reed is a great material to make furniture out of, boats as it is lightweight, you could also use it in building a hut. I think the price would depend on the amount you wanted to purchase.
boats have improved by the way the work boats used to be
Actually papyrus were used to make paper, and were scarcely used on boats, but woods were indeed used to make boats
