The Silent Generation, born between 1925-1945, represents the group of children born during the Great Depression and through World War II. So named because of their apparent silence in culture, media, etc. No spark or vitality like their parents the GI Generation. The Silent Generation fought in the Korean War. Called the Air Raid Generation in Britain because of the regular bombings from Germany during WWII.
