The Thoroughbred is the official horse and the Gray squirrel is the official wild game animal. It has deer and turkey as well as the largest elk herd east of Montana. It is the 5th largest goat producing state, is the 8th largest beef producing state.

There are poisonous snakes such as Timber rattlesnakes, copperheads, water moccasins,"cotton mouths" there are also the brown recluse Spiders, black widows and coyotes. I am not aware of anything else. No mountain lions or anything like that.
