Dangers of the ozone hole
Ozone protects us from the dangerous Ultraviolet radiation from the sun (UVB). This UVB causes skin cancers and cataracts in humans, and damage to some crops, including rice.
In general, when there is UltraViolet-B from the Sun that could harm humans, there is UltraViolet-C from the Sun to make protective ozone. Under the ozone hole there is no protection.
The ozone hole forms over the continent of Antarctica, but because the hole is sometimes as large as North America, the protection is weakened over southern parts of Australia, South Africa and South America.
Answer:
It should be remembered that the hole in the ozone layer only occurs during the end of the winter above the Antarctic. There is a much smaller one that occurs over the Arctic after the end of it's winter also. Neither of these events are un-natural, nor are they an actual hole, but rather a thinning of the ozone levels due to a lack of sunlight. These holes disappear shortly after the sun returns to these areas. The risk of sunburn or cancer from this issue would only occur to those sunbathing in these areas in early spring. These "holes" naturally occur due to a lack of sunlight interacting with the oxygen in the upper atmosphere. As long as we have oxygen in our atmosphere and sun hitting it, we will naturally repair this annual event.
our atmosphere possess a layer called ozone gas which absorbs harmful radiations from the sun ,if it would not be present in atmosphere we would have been died.
They say we wouldn't exist without hydrogen, would we?
So, yeah :)
If ozone layer is not taken care of UV rays will enter the earth. If they enter, there will no no life left on earth.
If the ozone hole is not fixed, harmful UV radiations would enter the earth's atmosphere. These are high frequency radiations which can cause various fatal problems to living organisms.
If there is a hole in ozone, the UV rays will enter the earth. They can cause damage to life on earth.
yes, and it was the "antarctic ozone hole"ozone layer
The hole in ozone layer is the thinning of layer of ozone. It is because of the CFC's released by humans.
The ozone hole is found in the same layer as ozone layer. It is found in stratosphere.
The CFC's form a hole in ozone layer. They are highly reactive with ozone.
There is not actually a hole in the ozone layer. The ozone has been reduced below some limit.
The animals will extinct. If there is a hole in ozone layer.
there is a big hole
If the ozone hole keeps getting larger and the ozone layer goes away we will all die of cancer.
There is no hole in UV but in ozone layer. And the hole in ozone layer is actually the thinning of the layer.
yes, and it was the "antarctic ozone hole"ozone layer
See "Can the hole in the Ozone layer be fixed?"
The hole in ozone layer is the thinning of layer of ozone. It is because of the CFC's released by humans.
a hole in the ozone layer.
Ozone layer hole is the low concentration of ozone. It is present in both hemisphere.
The thinning of ozone layer is ozone hole. It is caused by ODS.
The hole in the ozone layer happen to be closer to the poles. It is because the ozone depletion occurs in very low temperatures which can only be obtained at the poles.
The thinning of ozone layer is called as ozone hole. CFC's are the ones that create the ozone hole.
