The water is evaporated.
The raisin will become filled with more water as there is more sugar and less water inside.
The cork will stay afloat
water absorbtion, with an intensity depending on the type of rubber; rubber is not soluble in water and don't react with water
if the can is heated, sealed and placed in cold water, then the gas pressure inside the can will be greatly reduced by the cooling effect, and the atmospheric pressure outside will cause the can to crush.
If it is indeed made of salt then it will be absorbing water form the air. It needs to be placed in a sealed container in which the air has been dried.
it would die ! @
Being sealed, no water can evaporate, and it all stays inside.
They are usually factory sealed with a lubricant sealed inside the pump.
The raisin will become filled with more water as there is more sugar and less water inside.
If the concentration of water inside the cell is higher, water will leave the cell. This would happen if a cell is placed in a hypertonic solution.
The outside air pressure dents the tin. The water or air inside a sealed metal container will contract when cooled from the outside (by conduction through the can). When it was sealed, the pressure on the inside was the same as on the outside. But the contraction reduces the pressure on the inside, causing the external air pressure to squeeze the can, and possibly cave it in. This is widely demonstrated in another experiment using dry ice. A sealed gasoline can of about a gallon (4 liters) is placed on a dry-ice bed and cooled until the outside air pressure crushes the can.
It depends on how much salt is in the water. If no salt, the leaf will swell. If it is the same amount in the water as in the leaf, then nothing will happen. If more is outside than inside the leaf, it will shrivel.
Nothing will happen to a a raw egg when placed into sparkling water.
it will die
What will happen if water gets inside gas tank
when a vegetable is placed in very salty water, the vegetable becomes soft and collapses. Why does this happen?
