If you're talking about in the Great Depression days, then this would probably answer it. "the typical day for a migrant worker was very difficult. They moved place to place looking for jobs. The workers had to do a job and once they were finished they could stay at the place for the night. Once morning came they had to leave to a new place and repeat the process again.
