Hard to say, but probably:
We could have had World War III; no joke. The arms race could have gotten out of hand and a nuclear war could have violently erupted.
The cold war was NEVER FOUGHT! The cold war was an arm's race. If there had really been a war; it never would have been called a "Cold War." It would have been called WWIII (an atomic war).
The cold war was a "Mental War"; if it hadn't been, it would have been a real shooting "hot war." The mental anquish during the cold war consisted of not knowing when the "Mushroom Clouds" would appear. Nuclear bombs exploding in your neighborhood.
The Cold War. The two superpowers that were in the world as of 1945, Soviet and the United States, were governed by two different styles of government, Communism and Democracy. The Soviets, wanting more countries to trade with (its normal trade being to democratic countries, who boycotted all trade with the U.S.S.R), wanted the government type of Communism to spread into other countries that were either democratic or republics. Countries that were democratic, particularly the United States, wanted to stop this. The Soviets began funding and arming Communist, forces in different countries. these led to the reign of Fidel Castro in Cuba, the Vietnam War, Korean War, and a Communist government in China, among others.
Part of the cold war; should America have participated in the cold war?
No. Nukes created the cold war.Perhaps they kept the cold war cold, but they did not create it! Without them it is very likely it would have become a hot war before Stalin's death.
..........I'm confused
There probably would have been no cold war, but there probably would have been WW3, probably starting in early to mid 1950s.
DDT and the Cold War were two different issues.
Proxy war Phony war.
Contradiction in terms; cold war means no war. The cold war would have terminated the split second war erupted.
The cold war was NEVER FOUGHT! The cold war was an arm's race. If there had really been a war; it never would have been called a "Cold War." It would have been called WWIII (an atomic war).
then the war would have ceased to be cold.
The Cold War ended in 1991 which would make the end of the cold war in the '90's
because the cold war influence many different countries to interfere with the wars
the cold war is the complete opposite of a hot war. its when you don't physically fight but you fight in a different way e.g campaigning strikes etc.
it was when cold water had a war in 1998. the wars men people would throw cold water because they did not have weapons back then and they would freeze to death.
The cold war was a "Mental War"; if it hadn't been, it would have been a real shooting "hot war." The mental anquish during the cold war consisted of not knowing when the "Mushroom Clouds" would appear. Nuclear bombs exploding in your neighborhood.
