Check to make sure that the windows haven't popped off the track. This would cause the windows in your 2002 Envoy to become stuck and not go down. If you replaced the driver's side master power switch and the locks work but the windows just make a clicking sound, this could help.
more than likely you will have to replace the drivers side master switch
If the windows on your 2002 Envoy will not go down, and you have replaced the driver's side master power switch, you should make sure that the window hasn't come off track. This would prevent the windows from going down and it would make a clicking sound.
I have a 93 Honda Civic LX with the same problem. I had everything replaced and nothing worked. I took it to a very good electrician and he figured out the problem for me. Its a connector that connects the Master window switch to the rest of the car windows. Mine had moisture damage so it worked on and off and only with certain windows. But the rest of the window switches operated the windows fine. It should be in the door panel/hidden around the door hinge.
remove master switch from door. remove wire harness from back of switch. with a jumper wire brige wires until window raises. then buy new master switch and replace
Because the master control on the drivers door has separate areas for all windows. Start by checking power feeds at the drivers door switch.
Power windows I assume. Check the fuse. If it is still good, it is probably the drivers side master switch that is bad.
Broken wire from master switch to other windows. Usually in the hinge area of the door.
It could be a switch, a connector or the motor.
If you've done all that you say, then the next logical thing would be to check the continuity of the circuit. If you've replaced the switch place a propbe at the fuse block and the other probe at the switch to see if there is any power reaching the switch. If there is power to the switch, then check from the switch to one of the window motors. I suspect that one of the wires between the switch and the window motor(s) is probably broken or shorted to ground. ALSO: Does your vehicle have a safety child lock-out switch for the windows? Make sure that it is not in the lock position.
i have 03 trailblazer LT,that driver side window switch stopped working.all windows worked seperatly and door locks worked ,but couldn't control other windows from drivers side. sometimes got clicking sound. bought used switch from eBay , replaced and all works fine !!!!! switch doesn't have to be programed or nothing.I've read stories about getting switch replaced for 3 to 4 hundred $. buy one from eBay that matches your model.u hould be good to go.. cost me 55$ if all the other windows work by pressing each indiviual window swictch then just replace master switch
a fault. it's just broken.
Either the fuse is blown or the master switch (the one in the drivers door) is broken.
