If you mean as this as impenetrable, no water or waste could come in or out. The cell would then be a non living object, or a 'dead cell'.

Do you mean hard as in solid? because if it was solid, you would not be alive.

What would happen to a cell if the fatty acids in the cell membrane became soluble?

It would cause the cell to lose all its contents to the outside.

What would happen to a cell if its membrane became impermeable to most substances?

It would die because of a lack of materials inside the cell

What would happen to the cell if the fatty acids in the cell membrane became soluble in water?

it would cause the cell to lose all of its contents to the outside

What would happen to a cell if the fatty acids in the cell membrane became soluble in water?

it would cause the cell to lose all of its contents to the outside

What would happen if the cell membrane became impermeable?

The cell would die very quickly. The cell will not be able to survive if the cell membrane became impermiable since water, ions and important biomolecules can no longer be transported in and out. This transport is essential for the cells survival.

What would happen to a cell in the fatty acids in the cell membrane became soluble in the water?

It would cause the cell to lose all its contents to the outside. APEX

What would happen to a cell if the cell membrane broke?

It would die

What would happen if plasma membrane became solid as a rock?

It would probably die. The necessary requirements of a cell would not be imported into the cell, and it would not be able to release wastes.

What would happen to an organism if its cell membrane became permeable to most substances?

It would die as harmful substances enteres the cells.

What would happen to an organisms if its cell membrane became permeable to most substances?

It would die as harmful substances enteres the cells.

What would Happen if a cell membrane burst?

If a cell membrane burst, all the cytoplasmic contents of the cell would leak out, killing it.

What would happen if a cell membrane suddenly became permeable?

Most likely the cell would die. This is the mechanism that many antibiotics use, they poke holes in the bacterial cell membrane effectively making it completely permeable and the bacterium dies.

What would happen to a cell if the cell membrane were solid and waterproof?

it would die

What would happen if a cell didn't have a cell membrane?

The cell membrane acts like a gate, it regulates what goes in and out of the cell. Without a cell membrane, anything would be able to get in and out of the cell, like bacteria.

What would happen to the cells if the fatty acids in the membrane became soluble in water?

it would cause the cell to lose all of its contents to the outside

What would happen if the cell membrane was damaged?

If a cell membrane is damaged proteins and other protist would slip through the net like membrane and go into the cell.

What would happen to a cell if the cell membrane were solid and watertight?

If the cell membrane was solid and watertight then the cell would die. There would be no way for the cell to take in materials or release waste.

What happen to the cell if cell membrane not a semi-permeable membrane?

The cell would die as it couldn't maintain homeostasis.

What would happen to an organism if its cell membrane became permeable to most sunstances?

Compartmentalisation would become impossible and cell processes that require certain Physical and chemical conditions such as pH wouldn't be able to happen as efficiently. The cell would eventually die.

What would happen if a cell membrane were solid and waterproof?

If the cell membrane became a solid, then no water or waste could cme in or out. The cell then would be a nonliving object, or a "dead cell." If the cell membrane was waterproof, then no water would exist in that cell, and that organism will eventually die, because of no water. ( 4 things to live: Food, Sheter, Air, and WATER.) Hope this helped a lot! Student. Bala

The world would explode

What would happen if the cell membrane were missing from the cell?

A cell membrane separates the internal environment of a cell from its external environment, without it a cell wouldn't exist.
