What's known as a Cascade Effect would occur. Any species that feeds on the Phytoplankton and Zooplankton would become extinct. The filter-feeders would most likely be killed first, then the species that eats filter-feeders and so on. Most, if not all, sea life will be eradicated and leave us with no sushi.
Algae account for approximately 80% of Earth's oxygen, you do the math.
Since the protists are at the bottom of the food chain, just about every animal in the ocean with die if all protists died.
The coral would die and so would the animals that need the coral for food and shelter
if the phytoplankton was killed the other things that eat it will not get their energy anymore because where the other things get their energy from is from the phytoplankton
If the number of phytoplankton decrease the food chain would decrease in the ocean.
No Chance stop the waves in the ocean, don't think it.
All of the animals would die. Cuz the animal that ate the plankton would die then the next species would die.
Phytoplankton require sun and water to survive. They find these in a marine (ocean) envrironment.
If they went extinct the whole food chain would be out of balance.
If all of the Phytoplankton disappeared the Eco-system of which it lived in would dissappear. This is because Phytoplankton is the producer in a food pyramid which means that it provides for all of the levels above. Even a Barracuda depends on Phytoplankton to feed ir's prey.
We all die.
it would die due to everything in the ocean
there would be no ocean anymore.
Explain what would happen if a piece of seaweed from the ocean was placed in a fresh water aquarium?
sex would happen
there would be an egg in the ocean. A fish might eat also.
