"The Moon" got this name because it was the only one, like "the Sun" and "the Earth". We never knew that there were others, so we didn't bother to come up with proper names for them. Once we knew that there were other things like them existed, then we came up with unique names for them. Like Jupiter's moons, Europa, Io, Ganymede and Callisto.
If I could name the Moon (something other than "The Moon") I'd probably name it something like "Liberty" or "Freedom". But that's just me.
The first mission to the moon was Apollo 8 , it was the test of the mighty Saturn 5 rocket, and to see if man could orbit the moon , and then return to earth. Or whether it would go on traveling past the moon.
lunar The moon is a satellite. Meaning it orbits another planet.
No, the moon can be old. Personification of the moon would be: 'the moon smiled on the new lovers...' 'the man in the moon could clearly be seen...'
Yes it would only if we could try it.
The Earth is to the Moon as a planet is to its moon. So, if we're talking about a satellite orbiting a planet, then the planet would be analogous to the Earth, and the satellite would be analogous to the Moon.
You would see the moon.
you could play football on the moon because the ball would float and you could jump to get it.
If the moon didn't exist:The Earth would not experience eclipses.Tides would not be nearly as big as they are now.Nights would be much darker.A day on Earth would be MUCH shorter. To name a few.

On the moon. That is the name of one of the moon's craters.
no, it does not. Sorry, but glad I could help
The name of the moon in this question could be a misspelling of either "Triton," the largest moon of Neptune, or of "Titan," the largest moon of Saturn.

You could never match earth's gravity on the moon. You could not increase the amount of gravity on the moon by drilling.
Yes it would only if we could try it.
If you could see it, it would be a waxing half moon with the upper (eastern) half of the moon lit.
Impossible; there is no path to the Moon. And the stairs, if you could build them, would be murder!
