What year or years did Paul Brown coach during the AFL when Dante Lavelli played?

Paul Brown coached Dante Lavelli as a Cleveland Brown during all four AAFC seasons, 1946-1949. Dante came out of Hudson, Ohio High School as a quarterback in 1941. He enrolled at Ohio State that fall to play for Brown who had left Massillon Washington High School to coach the Buckeyes. Hudson was just north of Akron and Massillon just south of Akron. Dante, along with Lou Groza and other teammates who had played for Brown at OSU became an important member of the original Browns after returning from duty in WWII.
