AA Manufactured in 1965. BB Manufactured in 1966 CC Manu 1967 DD 1968 That's not quite correct info. The AA is 1965, but 1966 is AB, 1967 is AC, 1968 is AD. Then in 1969 through 1971 the prefixes changed to the first two digits of the year made. An example is: 1969=69, 1970=70, 1971=71. After 1972 the first two digits of the serial number were deducted from the year 2000, so a 1972 would have the prefix 28. 1973 would be 27, etc.....
