1945
The U.S., at its peak state, had close to 32500 nuclear weapons (about the year 1965). They now have roughly 10000.
North Korea was said to have done one earlier this year or late last year (2017-2018).

Fear that someone else would build them first and attack the US or our allies.During World War 2 the "someone" was Nazi Germany and the nuclear weapon was the atomic fission bomb, during the Cold War the "someone" was the USSR and the nuclear weapon was the hydrogen fusion bomb. The US clearly won the race with Nazi Germany as their project derailed early due to multiple errors and oversights by their scientists and the work was redirected away from bombs to prototype reactors, however the US and USSR both developed and fielded practical megaton range hydrogen bombs in the same year: 1955, making that race effectively a tie!!!

Japan doesn't want any nuclear weapons. But Japan can easily produce nuclear weapons if it wanted to. It has the technology to build nuclear weapons within 1 year-- probably a few months if it wanted. However, most Japanese people are against nuclear weapons. Therefore, they do not have nuclear weapons.
1945 was the first year that a Nuclear bomb was successfully tested then used in combat.

16 trillion dollars
Over the next decade the U.S. is predicted to spend between $620 billion and $661 billion on nuclear weapons. On average right now they spend about $20 billion per year.
4 trillion dollarsAnswer 2:Between 1940 and 1996 the estimated Minimum incurred costs of the US Nuclear Weapons programs is 5.821 Trillion dollars (source: Atomic Audit: The Costs of US Nuclear Weapons since 1940). Maintenance of the Nuclear Weapons alone cost 25 Billion dollars per year (not including guarding them, or secrets etc).

Yes Japan is going to be at war this year. It is said that they are planning a nuclear attack on the US.
North Korea was said to have done one earlier this year or late last year (2017-2018).
Probably in Bangkok in the year 2007
Disadvantages of Nuclear Power:· Nuclear Power generates radiation, which can be harmful or even fatal to infected people.· A nuclear meltdown can occur which will release massive amounts of radiation into the community.· Extremely radioactive nuclear waste is produced by nuclear power plants. This stuff can't be just thrown out. The US plans to move all its nuclear was to an underground dump by the year 2010. Currently it is stored in the plants.· Nuclear waste dumps can spontaneously combust without warning.· Nuclear reactors only last for about forty to fifty years, so where they are extremely productive, they break down and are costly to replace.· There are international dangers too. Some reactors produce plutonium which can be used to make nuclear weapons. If the whole world were to use these, they would have unlimited access to nuclear weapons.
