LCD is better for hd viewing and the colours wil be more bright on lcd but plasma has got a glass screen and the colours are a little bit dimmer but the picture is great for standard viewing aswell as hd viewing , i have a lcd and for standard viewing the upsetted me but a hd plasma i have to say is better than a lcd in my opinion
LCD: this is the ideal T.V for gamers. Plasma: The best T.V for movies and other entertaniment.
I would say LCD but either is fine
Plasma, plasma can have the "burn in screen" but so can lcd, lcd is actually more likely to burn in that a plasma, now the whole picture wont burn in but each individual pixel will, For Plasma TVs, the advantages over LCD, are: Better contrast ratio, better ability to render deep blacks, more color depth, better motion tracking (response time), and more availability in very large screen sizes.
LCD are usually better and plasma screens use more energy and are bigger.
lcd is best for games and plasma is best for watching sports. But you can still play games on the plasma but i prefer plasma because it has better screen quality
No most people consider lcd tvs better than plasma tvs. Plasma tvs are harder to fix than lcd tvs. Lcd tvs also have a clearer picture than plasma tvs do.
The difference between plasma and lcd televisions is that plasma televisions have better colors. However, lcd televisions last longer than plasma.
A plasma TV is better than a LCD TV. haha! :-)
LCD TV's last longer than plasma TV's.
The difference is in the backlight and resolution. LCD usually have better resolution.
Both have their own advantages. LCD has a better resolution than plasma of the same size, but plasma is better priced and has better viewing angles. LCD is lighter if your putting on a wall, but the bigger the TV the better reason for getting Plasma for viewing purposes. LCD are better smaller TVs.
LCD TV screens weigh less and use less energy than plasma TV screens, but plasma has better picture and colors. LCD screens are thinner than plasma screens as well.
Most people like LCD better because it has better graphics and sound.
== == LCD is best when compared to plasma because crystals have very good property regarding refletion.....so it is better to use LCD rather than using plasma...The plasma have disadvantage that its is not as stable as an LCD.
Plasma and LCD televisions are two different forms of HD television and have their benefits. Plasma televisions don't require backlighting while LCD televisions have better native resolutions.
Plasma vs. LCD has been going on for awhile. Plasma was generally considered better for larger TVs and for "black screen" issues. However, LCD screens have closed the gap to the extent that plasma is rarely preferred over LCD.
Plasma is better than LCD TV because of its excellent picture graphics, contrast ratios, reliability etc.
It is going to depend upon what is important to you to decide which is better between a plasma TV and an LCD TV. Cost, availability and features will be the deciding factors.
I would get the plasma screen TV. They have a much better picture and they are much better to watch movies on than a LCD TV. They also cost less than the LCD TVs.
if plasma is so much better than why dont they make computer plasma monitors?
Probably an LCD because I know a friend that has a big plasma and I have an LCD The LCD has better graphics and the plasma is a little blurry. If you have a big screen then it sucks for a ps2 but works really good with Xbox 360 and PS3, I'm not sure about just the normal Xbox though. also you can view a plasma at an angle and the picture is still there. if you get at an angle on an lcd the picture will blur out.
LCD will be the better choice here. As I recall plasma is not recommended for this application. The plasma glass is weighty and can crack if a plasma television when laying face down is jarred or dropped.
Plasma television screens have a better picture quality than LCD. The blacks are more vivid and darker. The con is that the bulb on the Plasma has an experation date. LCD are generally cheaper but the picture quality is not as good.
There are major differences between Sony's LCD and plasma TVs. A LCD TV presents in 4:3 ration, while a plasma presents in widescreen. Plasma TVs smallest size is 37 inches, while LCD are available in much smaller sizes. LCD TVs actually look better than a plasma screen when viewed center on, but plasma TVs can be view from multipe angle without picture distortion. LCD TVs, however, a better in rooms with a lot of light than plasma TVs. The decision will depend on your needs, preferences and budget.
Plasma HDTV and LCD HDTV both have there benefits, and neither plasma or LCD is directly better for blue-ray than the other. Depending on some outside factors such as; room you put your TV (natural light), angle of viewing, action of show, cost, etc., will depend on whether you want a plasma or lcd.
