It means he enjoys being with you so yes he cares about you and likes being your friend. More to the point, the guy is comfortable with you. That is true friendship - and that's great. Sometimes, that blossoms into love. And sometimes it doesn't. Enjoy it for what it is, not for what it may - or may not - become.
