meteorology
Today, there are meteorological stations all over the world. Each one has instruments such as barometers, thermometers, anomometers, wind vanes, rain gauges, etc. Data from these instruments is fed into computers, and later to Internet databases. Geographers can gather this data to see climate patterns over time. They can also compare that data to maps to see how landforms effect weather patterns.
Well, considering that grasslands are found on every continent (except Antarctica) you have to look into it. Because I'm studying that today!! :)
Weather
A meteorologist's main duties include: forecasting and predicting weather patterns and conditions, analyzing meteorological data and patterns to understand and interpret climate trends, and issuing warnings and advisories for severe weather events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and flash floods.
The planet Mercury does not have weather patterns just wild temperatures.
Meteorology focuses on studying and analyzing various weather phenomena such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind patterns, and atmospheric pressure. These factors influence weather forecasting and understanding climate patterns. Understanding the effects of weather on the environment, ecosystems, and human activities is crucial for predicting natural disasters and managing resources efficiently.
Weather patterns and plant growth are some of the things studied.

Geographers classify climate regions by the weather and climate they have
Geographers use the word climate when referring to the weather of a country or region.
what are the weather patterns in France

Geographers (those who study weather/land/people) usually do not often need to use a coordinate grid. However those studying geometry (a branch of maths) do use them.
math is used in weather to define how hot or cold it is, how fast does the wind blow, and how humid it is. It is also used for predicting weather like in monitoring storms, studying cold and warm fronts, and seeing patterns in temperatures.
