Every person who strives toward excellence deserves recognition. The WAmmy Awards are the site's way of showcasing outstanding talent in our various fields. Contributors spend lots of hours every year asking and answering questions, re-categorizing, improving questions and answers and doing other things on the site. The WAmmy Awards is Answers' way of recognizing those people who put forth a special effort in the many categories.
The winners of the 2010 WAmmy Awards on WikiAnswers were community members who were recognized for their contributions and dedication to the site. They were voted for by the WikiAnswers community and awarded in various categories such as Top Answerers and Top Contributors.
As of February 2010, three contributors share that honor with four WAmmy Awards apiece:

Throughout the year (Jan. 1st - Dec. 31st), nominations are accepted in the Community and Supervisors' forum thread labeled "WAmmys."

December 31, 2012 at midnight is the cutoff time for nominations.The nominees are then narrowed down to the top five in each WAmmy award category in January 2013.In February 2013, a ballot is created and voted upon by the community.In March 2013, the 2012 WAmmy winners are announced!See link below for winners.
