you can take a home pregnancy test from the first day that you no you are late from your period or any time after that. you could also go to your doctor for the blood test form of testing. though the gp will ask if you have taken a home pregnancy test first.

But some tests can pick up the hgc as early as 4 days before your period is due. be aware that sometimes when testing early it can lead to a false negative.
